Peru is the host for the 2008 ISA World Masters Surfing Championship
The 2008 ISA World Masters Surfing Championship has been confirmed. The event will be hosted by the Federación Nacional de Tabla and will take place in Punta Rocas, Peru (30 minutes from Lima, 1 hour from Lima International Airport). This is Peru's most consistent surf spot which also hosted the 1965 ISF World Championship won by Felipe Pomar.

Diego “Chovi” Vargas is the most outstanding junior in Ecuador, master of a beautiful style, radical and modern, the boy has been known to represent his country well. Although he is a junior, today he is in second place in the Open rankings
